3D Animation
Currently I work in Maya 2008 and 8.5, modeling in both high polygon situations for animation, and low polygon situations for the work I have done developing games.
Unrealistic Expectations:
Unrealistic Expectations is my graduating work from Rensselaer Polytechnic in Animation. Where Kodoku focused on gestural animation, this was a crash course in creating a humanoid model, facial rigging, Zbrush texturing, and facial animation (Click Image to View, Quicktime Required).
Kodoku:
A project completed for Animation 1, fall semester of 2007-2008. The assignment was to create a 30 second ~ 1 minute animation of some type of robot. Because I have previous experience working in maya, I expanded on the project to make it a study of gesture.
Rather than focus on modeling, I wanted to try and capture expressive poses and animations in simple figures that did not have the benefit of facial features to communicate emotion (Instead, the Kodoku robots have only barcodes). Click on the Image below to view. (External link)
