Sequential Art

Most of the artwork contained here will be small narrative comics that I have done to experiment with different page layout/pacing styles, though I have also included several storyboards for my other projects here.

    Imaginary:

    Imaginary is a longterm project started a year ago as part of an independent study in a course in Graphic Storytelling. It is a webcomic that I update weekly with an ongoing story about a troubled girl and the things she sees that others can't. It is a hobby I take pride in keeping up with, to keep my abilities as an artist and writer continuously improving.

    Visiting Airships (2008):

    A short story of a girl taken out by her mother to visit the city's port on a curiously busy day.

    Pages: 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07

    Birdwatching (2008):

    Another brief story fragment, this one focusing on conveying a combat sequence.

    Pages: 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07

    Numinous Storyboards (2007):

    These are a set of comic-styled storyboards I did for a larger collaberative story that my friends and I have been working on for about half a year. The project was originally designed to be a game story-arc, and took on a life of its own later. These storyboards are part of a presentation we gave to our "Designing Characters for Video Games " class.

    Storyboard 1: 01, 02, 03
    Storyboard 2: 01, 02, 03, 04

    Artifact Exerpts (2006):

    These are some very early concept comics of a long-term project that I later scrapped in favor of starting Imaginary. (After I had learned more about good storytelling techniques.)

    Page Exerpts:: 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07

    Wolves (2008):

    This was an exercise that I found, and took a liking to. The idea is to use 12 sequential images to create a story following the form 'I used to believe..., but now I know.'
